PR Account Manager

 Start date:  1st December 2026

End date:  25th November 2027

Salary range:  £32,000- £38,000 based on experience

Possibility of opportunities elsewhere in the business at the end of the contract.

We’re looking for a PR Account Manager to join us for maternity cover, helping look after some of the best names in outdoor and active lifestyle.  We are a six-strong team and the role reports into the Account Director, with regular contact with the MD on new business/pitch work/strategic accounts. We have factored in a month handover period and you will have the support of a PR Executive who will work alongside you and the wider team.

Our brands sit at the crossover of function and lifestyle, so you’ll need to speak to both markets fluently. You’ll be the main point of contact across key accounts, building trusted relationships with clients and journalists, and bringing existing plans to life.

The Trail Ahead

Delivering PR campaigns from brief through to coverage and reporting

Securing strong media coverage across print, online, and social through a strong network of journalist contacts

Managing brand collaborations with online communities and creators, from initial outreach and gifting through to longer-term partnerships

Writing press releases, pitches, and social copy

Co-ordinating events and activations, often alongside the wider team

Managing budgets and timelines across key accounts when required

Leading client meetings with confidence

Supporting new business and pitch work, bringing creative ideas to the table

Supporting the team on creative projects

Using brand guidelines to create artwork for socials and printing

 

What You’ll Bring

5+ years’ experience in B2C PR or marketing

Comfortable running your own accounts independently as well as being a team player

Experience managing community and influencer collaborations, or a genuine interest in getting stuck into both

Confidence with budgets, reporting, and juggling multiple accounts at once

Proficient in Microsoft and Canva, and happy to learn tools like Kolsquare and Coveragebook

A clean UK driving licence for trips to trade shows, client meetings etc paid at £0.55 per mile

Enthusiasm for the outdoor and active lifestyle world

Great organisational skills, creative flair and ability to spin multiple plates with confidence
